About Us

Chapter Six has developed from a commitment to animal welfare, raising funds to rehabilitate animals and a love for sustainable fashion. We are an online charity shop, run by a dedicated team at RSPCA Manchester and Salford (UK) (Registered Charity Number: 232255), which is a separately registered charity from the national RSPCA. This means that all profits raised from Chapter Six go directly to the care and rehabilitation of animals in our rehoming centre and network of volunteer foster homes. Where else can you buy a dress, and know that the proceeds will buy food for an animal in need! RSPCA Manchester and Salford helps over 500 animals a year.

As well as a new online presence here at Chapter Six, we also run five RSPCA charity shops in and around Manchester, selling fashion to furniture, jewellery to bric-a-brac. And that is where the name ‘Chapter Six’ originates from, it’s our sixth retail venture. As the world of retail changes we wanted to reach our customers in a new way and also reach out to new customers who may be based further afield.

Shop Sustainably

By shopping with us you are not only helping a worthy cause, you are also shopping kinder for the planet – you are giving garments a second life and avoiding the need for more garments to be manufactured.

All stock is received on a donation only basis here in Manchester so the items on our site have not travelled far. Great care and attention is taken to ensure that all items are listed with full transparency regarding quality and condition, we only want to offer the best to our customers. This ensures that all your purchases are more sustainable without compromising on style!

We are so happy that you have chosen to visit our new website, and hope that you will find things that you like and that you will come back again and again.
